getRow method of DB_Common class

Dear all,
I am using getRow() method ob DB_Common class to get a single row from a table. As per document http://pear.php.net/manual/en/package.database.db.db-common.getrow.php
this method return a single dimension array. But when I am using it, it returns a two dimension
array. I don't know why...!!!! Please help me.
