Hi,
some (namely Jörg Behrends and Sebastian Bergmann) reported me that the function cache throws a note on call_user_method_array() since PHP 4.1.0:
php_error(E_NOTICE, _CUM_DEPREC, "call_user_method_array");
#define _CUM_DEPREC "The %s() function is deprecated, use the call_user_func variety with the array(&$obj, \"method\") syntax instead"
(from basic_functions.c)
The message is somewhat hard to understand. It means, that you should use:
call_user_func_array(array(&$obj, "method"), array("param1", "param2"));
Well, why do I not commit a simple code-change but complain on this? I'd like to offer a deal: if someone changes ext/standard/basic_functions.c to provide a more illustrative message, I'll commit a change on Cache::Function .... ;)
Anyone with access to ext/standard/basic_functions.c ?
Ulf
