From a 'observer (not yet acheived contributer)' here.. :) I had a look at the classes, quite extensive (something like 40 classes) - It would probably be worth picking a class/module that PEAR has not got, and going though integrating that with the PEAR structure.. - IMHO it's a bit difficult/impossible to 'merge; all the classes on-bulk.. but one by one, you may have success... regards alan Tomas V.V.Cox wrote:

Hi, My name is Ken Egervari and I am developing an open source library
called eXtremePHP found on sourceforge.net (just search for extremephp). Basically, its a entire set of class libraries and frameworks to help PHP programmers. Its but no way complete, but much has been done for only two people working on it in their spare time.
The reason I am mailing the pear community is that perhaps we should
combine ideas. I have developed (and have many ideas and code not put on sourceforge yet) that can make PHP much, much better and easier to use. I somehow thing my work is futile because PEAR has been considered a standard and developed yet a new library may be futile.
I suggest we join our efforts and talk about the future of PEAR. I am
very good at design object models and frameworks and have many innovative ideas to take PHP to the next level. I hope you guys are interested. PEAR is always open to new contributions. Just throw here your ideas :-) Tomas V.V.Cox
