I wonder if such functions could be placed in the Native_mysql driver? ;-) Thanks for now, this will be a hot database summer ;-) Regards, MatthiasHi, does it make sense to think about how to make 'storages' ready for replication or high availability? Does anyone have expierience with replication and MDB2? For example: is it useful to use two connections, one for read access (select -> slaves) and one for write access (insert/update/delete -> master)? Or is this a topic where portability is not possible?Well its one of the things you usually setup transparently on the server and so it should not matter all that much to the API you use. It may however require changes to the application (along the lines if what you suggest with using 2 separate connections or some other approach). I suggest you take a look at the MediaWiki code. I think its probably the open source frontend code in PHP that gets to handle the most hists. They have some homegrown database access layer.
