Hi, PECL is in the very beginning of a usable state, but not yet for all applications. PEAR/PECL currently wraps itself around the Unix build process for standalone extensions with a script called "pearize". The rest is done with "phpize" etc. A lot of stuff remains before it's perfect, but the short-term goal is to make "pearize" powerful enough to handle all of PHP's bundled extensions. - Stig On Wed, 2002-01-30 at 21:24, Jan Lehnardt wrote: > Hi, > it seems worth beeing posted here. > > Begin forwarded message: > > Date: Wed, 30 Jan 2002 22:09:04 +0200 (IST) > From: Andi Gutmans <andi@zend.com> > To: PHP Development <php-dev@lists.php.net> > Subject: Re: [PHP-DEV] PECL/PHPDoc > > > None of the PEAR guys ever answered my Email about PECL.
