Laurent,
This is excellent work :)
There is also one thing I think I neglected to add for PHP 5 detection, which maybe you can implement.
That is, chained object calls, i.e. $foo->something()->something()
This should be pretty easy to write into the detection, :)
Thank you so much for taking the lead on this, making me inactive is fine, I guess, I just don't have time to contribute to this anymore :(

Hi all, Yesterday, i've released a new version of PHP_CompatInfo (1.3.2) that fixed one bug on CLI version. I've in mind to publish the last stable version with features complete 1.4.0 in next days (a week or less). New features added for 1.4.0 are : 1- ability to ignore versions more easily than with "ignore_functions" and "ignore_constants" options ==> see what i mean on my online example [1] Add a new option: "ignore_versions" Could be : $options = array( 'ignore_versions' => array('5.0.0', '5.2.0') ); To ignore all PHP5 functions and constants in one step 2- ability to ignore extension functions when compute version needed. Add a new option: "ignore_extensions" For example, if you have a library that use GD functions and are conditional in your code. You want to know what PHP version is required except your GD lib, then add only : $options = array( 'ignore_extensions' => array('gd') // case insensitive 'GD', 'Gd' works fine too ); If you think there are still some missing features in this package, then feel free to post a reply here or send me a mail . Last but not least, even if i'm sad to ask and tell this, but without reply from Davey, i'll put him as inactive leader on next release. Remember all my try to contact you about (PHP_CompatInfo , PEAR_Info) in past, and i got no directly answer. i'd like to got it , and not indirectly by Pierre. We are all busy, by lot of misc. tasks, but a reasonable wait time of 1 month is i hope enough in all cases ! regards Laurent Laville [1] http://www.laurent-laville.org/index.php?module=pear&desc=pciexamples&action=pciIgnore
