Hi IMHO a textfield is not the best representation of a binary field (BLOB) .. As I have a lot of files to be uploaded and stored in the DB I've written an extension to DB_DataObject_FormBuilder to display BLOB field as file-uploads and handle the complete upload and storage processing. I was wondering if it would make sense to integrate this functionality to DB_DataObject_FormBuilder. If anyone is interested in the code, just send me a mail.It has so far been my policy to leave file upload handling to users of FormBuilder as file uploads are generally handled in an application-specific way. Some put the contents in the DB, some leave them on the filesystem, some store filenames, some don't, some store file sizes, some don't, and all of the column names for the above could be anything at all. You can post your code as a patch online somewhere, but it's not likely I'll move it into FormBuilder as-is. You're welcome to post a solution which doesn't require patching on the FormBuilder doc wiki for others to use. -- Justin Patrin
