Hello PEAR Developers! I would like to draw you attention to a project I have undertaken that I like to call XML_EncryptedDomDocument. It is a PHP 5 class that extends the DomDocument class to allow for XML Encryption (and I hope to add in digital signatures as well). This class allows projects that already use DomDocument instances to encrypt a part of or the entirety of their document using the W3C recommended methods for doing encryption in XML. I have not been able to find other projects quite like this one in PEAR, so I would like to have it considered for submission. Currently I have a working class that correctly encrypts and decrypts, but does not support PKI or any of the other aims of XML Signatures. I have submitted it as a Draft to PEAR earlier today. I apologize for sending this message _after_ creating the Draft page; some day I do hope to follow the formal PEAR process ^_^' Please share your thoughts as to whether or not you think this sort of package would be of benefit to the PEAR community. The PEPr page is http://pear.php.net/pepr/pepr-proposal-show.php?id=462 and I have already created some code that performs as expected (and passes the tests I've written), so feel free to review it as you see fit. Please note that this package does depend on the mcrypt extension and PHP 5. I am using Google Code Hosting for the subversion repository and am writing the test suite using PHPUnit 3. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your input. Josh Peters http://blog.josh-peters.name/ GPG ID: 0xB5E9664D ps. I'm unsure whether or not the package should be called XML_EncryptedDomDocument or just EncryptedDomDocument and live in the XML category. As such, I've gone with name EncryptedDomDocument in the XML category.
