As referenced in the constitution[1], the PEAR president elections will now occur. Because of the timing, the PEAR president will serve a 1 year term from May 1, 2007 to May 1, 2008. If you are a PEAR developer, and have a user account at pear.php.net with pear.dev karma, you are eligible to run for president. What are the benefits? You will help to evangelize PEAR and interface with other projects like the Zend Framework, PHP Group, eZ, and so on. You Disadvantages?
