Hi,

- Greg, should i really tag my lib as a 0.1.0 ? Because i don't consider it as alpha or beta as it is quiet old now (about 3 years) even the PHP5 version is only one year old.Hmm, I remember a rule saying that the first release needs to be alpha or beta and needs to have a version number 0.1.0. And I guess that Greg also thinks about this rule. But I know only this document that talks about version numbers: http://pear.php.net/group/docs/20040226-vn.php The interesting parts of this document are the following items: | - All initial releases of a package with states "dev", "alpha", or | "beta" prior to the first stable release should have a version | number less than "1.0.0". | - The first release with state "RC" or "stable" must have a version | number of "1.0.0". | - There may not be a stable release unless there has been at least one | release before with the same major version. Therefore, your first release needs to be 1.0.0RC1, not 1.0.0. But: After the comments you got and the changes you made, I would suggest that you follow the suggestion and release a 0.1.0 in state beta. If anybody finds a document that states what I had in mind and what Greg talked about, then please give us the link.
- I will take a look for the line length, yes it's better to leave the html bloks as they are to keep the output clear.Right. But some lines in your PHP code (without any HTML code around) are very long.
- For the license, i thought MIT would be ok ? But if the new BSD is better, no problem to change for it.MIT should also be okay. The allowed licenses can be seen here: http://pear.php.net/manual/en/group.licenses.php What Justin and I (and maybe other people) wanted to say: Please avoid the PHP License because it isn't really compatible to other licenses.
- About the plenks I'll take care in the future ! Is it in the CS ? ;)No, it is just in the ES. ;-) (English Standards *g*) Regards, Mark -- http://www.markwiesemann.eu
