In Newbie speek - I'm unfamiliar with the naming systems in use. ;)
Okay, then where packages overlap PHP4 ones I'll add a *2 naming. As with any of these
packages, if they are accepted I can port them into PEAR2. I have other duplicates of PHP4 Crypt
packages that I can propose later as *2 versions.
I'll go integrate that change into my repository...

What about PEAR2_Crypt_HMAC ?
Those seem to me like great candidates for PEAR2 :)
