Greetings --
I just rolled a new version of File_Fortune (0.9.1) and uploaded for
release. Unfortunately, though I tested to see that the pear validated
the package file and was able to install it, I didn't check that it
installed the files to the correct places. When I installed via the pear
installer after uploading, I discovered the actual class files were
missing.
So, I, updated my packaging script to ensure that the class files were
given a role of 'php'. I then re-packaged, validated, and installed the
package via the tarball. Everything looked great -- class files were
present and in their correct locations, examples were in the right
places, etc. So, I uploaded the release (0.9.2).
I then performed a 'pear uninstall File_Fortune', followed by a 'pear
install File_Fortune-beta'. To my dismay, the class files, were
installed under 'File/File/' instead of 'File/'!
I'm attaching my packaging script. The file system hierarchy looks like
this:
File_Fortune/

Can anyone help me out? I've never had anything like this occur (and I
roll packages for my own pear channel frequently enough that I think I
would have seen this before).
