I would preffer also a single 'pear' for all. Ok, I understood that
certain local and remote command names may clash, but a "pear remote *"
familly of commands is good enough IMO.
And about interactive usage, I'm against using it (you only have to see
how difficult is for a novice user install something from CPAN).
Questions need answers, answers need knowledge.
