PHPUnit complaints about differences in seemingly equal messages, so unified
the line endings in error messages - but i totally missed the thing that
this are not always strings

i have fixed these 'errors'
'fail' and 'error' are too different things
a test is failed if the gaol is not reached
it has an error when PHP throws some sort of ERROR/WARNING/NOTICE
