Anyone know why a bug I opened back in March (
http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=10289)
suddenly put this on itself two
days ago:
*[2007-08-19 09:48 UTC] User who submitted this comment has not confirmed
identity*

MANUAL CONFIRMATION IS NOT POSSIBLE. Write a message to pear-dev@lists.php.net
to request the confirmation link. All bugs/comments/patches
associated with this
email address will be deleted within 48 hours if the account request
is not confirmed!
It's a fluke that I even discovered this, as I was searching for this bug
due to a discussion about something similar on pear-dev. It seems odd to me
that this would have just appeared on an old bug that was closed in April.
The only theory I have is that perhaps my PEAR account (ashnazg) originally
had "ashnazg-at-php-dot-net" as its email address back then, and today it
has a different email address (the one this email is coming from). So, if
this is a new bug tracker batch job that made that comment, then perhaps it
ran, found my old address on this bug, did _not_ see a _current_ PEAR
account using that email address, and therefore assumed it is a
non-confirmed address.
