Hi.
I've recompiled PHP without the suhosin patch and removed the eAccelerator extension. The only difference that I noticed was that page loads (without banners) in generall was faster without suhosin (and with eaccelerator). My test-page have the same result although the first counter is a bit higher since eaccelerator now is gone. Before and after while-loop are now:
0.0091829299926758
while ($data = @fread($fp, 8192)) { ... }
0.13566184043884
Thanks.

Hi Christian, can you please turn off the Suhosin patch and the eaccelerator? I think its some type of file open / cache bug maybe comes from an outdated eAccelerator ... can you please verify this and or provide a VLD* debug print to check this? -- Marco * http://www.derickrethans.nl/vld.phpis-----Original Message----- From: Christian Marcos [mailto:christian.marcos@garaget.org] Sent: Monday, November 26, 2007 8:58 PM To: Marco Kaiser Cc: pear-dev@lists.php.net Subject: Re: [PEAR-DEV] Very slow fread() in function parseResponeFile($fp) in RPC.php This require Openads to be installed (I think), but you could try it without, everything on the client-site (www-server) is provided.
