I just killed serveral hours trying to find a way to install PEAR on a clean vista install with PHP 5.2.5. For me, the phar supplied with the php distribution completely bombed out, as well as the 1.0.2 version of go-pear.php. Where can I find a working version of 1.0.3 to test if you dont plan to update http://pear.php.net/go-pear?
Thanks,
Ralph

Hello Tias,I'm sorry - we had a misunderstanding on IRC, I thought Helgi also wanted the fixed release as soon as possible. I'll withdraw the release.Currently, go-pear cannot be installed on windows. The bug is fixed in PEAR-1.7.0RC1 and 2, but go-pear does download stable packages only.I did an immediate release of go-pear 1.0.3 based on the current 1.0.2 with the suggested patches. I had reports on IRC that it worked for others, so I think it's safe. At least windows users can install pear again now.
