Hello everyone,
Due to some unforeseen problems in our our last release of PEAR (1.7.0) some
people have noticed problems with external channels (phpunit, symfony and
just about every single one of them) with the error "Error getting channel
info from pear.phpunit.de: File
http://pear.phpunit.de:80/Chiara_PEAR_Server_REST/p/packages.xml
not valid
(received: HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request)" but fear not, we have fixed the
problem and released a new PEAR that does not have this problem;
What people have to do now is "pear upgrade pear" or pear upgrade-all ...
If people pick the latter option then you'll see the previous error again
but do note that PEAR will upgrade and thus that would be the last time you
see the error.
The only people that are really affected by this are people that have extra
set of channels in their PEAR installation, the pear and pecl channel did
continue to work just fine so I hope this was only a slight annoyance for
most of you, we on the PEAR development team send out our sincerest apology
for this hick up and hopefully we'll never encounter this problem again.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Regards
