Good time to ask that question - my impression was (and please correct
me if I am wrong ;-)), that you do not have to do a new package, but a
new major version release. In Net_LDAP's case, a 2.0 release. I copied
Christian on this email, since we just talked about it last week.
Maybe this needs to be clearer in the docs. I couldn't figure out
where it's written down (googled: site:pear.php.net +manual +php5
+php4 -bug) - either way, Foo2 or Foo-2.0 and I think it needs to be
documented.
