I'm surprised, but I'll have a look on a unix platform this friday.
On Windows, all is fine ! pearinfo (shell script) is installed under $bin_dir.
BTW, do you remember my question [1] ?

Hello Laurent, PEAR_Info installs the pearinfo shell script into $bin_dir/PEAR/pearinfo instead of $bin_dir/pearinfo.
