If you were hit by a bus, we'd be unable to commit to the repository
(minor bug fixes, updating the package.xml), which is somewhat of a
concern.
That being said, if there were a few pear-qa people attached to the sf
project, this becomes much much less of a concern.
I think when PEAR2 arrives, there will be SVN, but also much more of a
preference for 'everything lives in the pear svn'
