Sorry for missing the meeting. I was at Oktoberfest in Munich (I assume this is a valid excuse). That being said, I've been working on a few things for PEAR on the side and thought I should share them.
1.) I've recently been researching security auditing software for Digg and, specifically, some software called Fortify. It does static code analysis for PHP (along with dozens of other languages) looking for all sorts of security holes. I asked them if they had any sort of FOSS package and they said that, yes, they do. It should be ready for use in a month or two and I think it'd be a great addition to the continuous integration discussions we've been having (I'm exceptionally impressed with the software).
2.) Am I the only one who thinks that PEAR's website needs a complete overhaul with regards to its design? Many, many other FOSS sites (jQuery, Django, Mozilla, etc.) have amazingly well designed sites and I think we should too. I've reached out to Daniel Burka from Digg and he's been receptive to the idea (Considering he sketched the initial version of the Firefox logo I figured he'd be a good place to start).
Thoughts?
