Did you confused Net_Request with Net_URL2? Net_URL2 got a pretty huge overhaul over the past few months.
No, I really was speaking about (old) Net_URL2, missing the fact that it was essentially rewritten from scratch already.
Basically the in CVS unit test coverage is completely dated. I made a patch to remove all test code with old API in it. But it would be awesome to have full unit test coverage here, rather than simply gutting it...
I agree that unit tests would be good here.
I'll try to come up with something.
