Hello Laurent,
Hello Christian,
I didn't know that my bug report involved a whole API change!
But it's great to see how PHP_CompatInfo is coming along.
Yes there are some changes in API, but not so huge (and of course there is still a backward compatibility)
With all these changes, I wonder if it's really feasible to keep PHP4
compatibility. As I read your presentation, there were some serious
internal changes.
Is it hard to keep PHP4 compatibility? I personally would bump the
version to 2.0.0 and make PHP_CompatInfo PHP5 only from now on.
As you know (read it) I've since a long time have in mind to bump to a new PHP5 version. Probably for 2009 !
I think it's a good decision to base on the PHP manual versioning
information - they will keep it current, and it's better to let others
collect the information than having to upgrade it yourself.
Freedom to let end-users to fix version number error is good, but my goal was not to have multiple versions (one for each user).
I HOPE that all users will gave me their feedback if they found some errors to be include for future version and share solution to all.
By the way, dictionary has to be written with only on n.
on what ?
