Query regarding 2 installations of pear

Hi, This is Naresh, I am trying to use pear in my PHP(5.2.3) based web portal developement, based in windows xp. I have got 2 installations in my system for pear(by mistake), 1 by running the go-pear.bat and second by running go-pear.php through my apache. now both are conflicting in some manner and I am not able to make out the corrections. I do request help in - 1> how to remove pear installation with out affecting my php setup . 2> and then correct way to install the pear again. if there is step-by-step guide doc that will 2> be really helpful.
