Hi all,
Today I finished the major API break that brought us support for
different document types (text, spreadsheet, drawings etc.) - they
still wait to be implemented, but we're not limited to text docs
api-wise anymore.
I have 4 unit tests that really helped me to find errors before users
find them, but running the examples showed me that there are not enough
tests yet :)
My last action before 0.2.0 will be the implementation of a second
storage driver (bigxml) - that should help me to see if the storage
interface is really generic enough.
Functional wise, not much happened in OpenDocument. The work I did the
last weeks was mainly moving internal API around and making the whole
thing more flexible, but we don't have support for new text elements
(lists, images etc). This is planned for the version after the next
version - I still have the feeling that applying styles is pretty
crufty and needs - as well as a revamp of the element creation api.
So 0.2.0 will be a huge leap forward from an internal POV, but the end
user does not really see much.
