I decided to give Option 2 a shot, because it was the least work, and
meant that we could ignore the problem for as long as possible.
Unfortunately, the latest version of XML_Tree is a BC break from the
previous ones - at first glance, renaming the clone() method for
obvious reasons, plus a few other minor bits of implementation.
Nothing was tagged originally, so I can't easily diff.
So, now there's a beta version of XML_Tree with a new package.xml 2.0
published at the moment, as a beta.
There is 0% test coverage, and who knows what'll happen to lots of
pear installations if I just pushed it out as 'stable' - I'm not gonna
take the risk, etc etc etc.
I don't suppose people want to update the deps for the other packages
to be XML_Tree-2.0.0+, and test them as appropriate?
