On a somewhat related note, I've got a work-in-progress tree at the
moment for something that could become a PEAR::Date2 or PEAR2::Date.
(Probably first one, then t'other.) It's (intentionally) mostly
backward compatible with Date, but uses DateTime and friends as a
backend (hence requiring PHP 5.3, since it uses DateInterval).
I'd been holding off on announcing it until I had some time to tidy it
up and package it, but if there's some interest in it, I'll move said
tidying up my priority list. I could have it ready for an alpha
release/package proposal in two to three weeks, at a guess —
basically about a week after I've finished my uni commitments for the
year. :)
Thanks,
Adam
