Hi Christian, On 10.05.2010 13:20, Christian Weiske wrote:
I made a custom element for QuickForm2, BackgroundText: http://demo.cweiske.de/qf2-things/demo-backgroundtext.php By setting a background text, the user will see the special text in the input field when it is empty and not focused. When it is focused, the background text vanishes. When submitting the input element un-filled, with only background text set, it will appear empty to your php code.
Is that an element that would fit into the QF2 package?
The element is useful, but I'd prefer having it in a separate package, due to QuickForm 3.x experiences (e.g. hierselect was rewritten several times and right now needs yet another rewrite: http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=16603) As for the changes you proposed in pear-general, I hope I'll be able to implement them in the near future.
