Paul, Try making these changes to index.php On line 92 add this just for debugging. echo SERVER_DOC_ROOT . " -- " . $fileToCopySrc . " to " . $fileToCopyDst The other thing it might be would be permissions on the files located in renderer/html/timmyg/static not allowing the web server process to copy the files. Check these things, and let me know what the output is from the debug echo above. thanks, -timmyg At 10:57 AM 4/12/2002 -0400, you wrote:

Try using the new browser interface. This works however I get this error; Warning: Unable to create '/empty.html': Permission denied in /users/home/pgc/public_html/test/pear/PHPDoc/index.php on line 100 An error occured trying to copy /usr/local/lib/php/PHPDoc/renderer/html/timmyg/static/empty.html this happens for all the static html. The other stuff gets created so I don't think it's permissions but I'll investigate and send a patch if I can work it out. However this isn't really what I'm after - I'd like PHPDoc stuff to be made on the fly for a specific file and viewed in the browser without a copy being made to disk. This is great for browsing CVS repositories and looking stuff up. What we use here is a tool that a junior programmer hack up as a beginner project. He took a PHPDoc implementation and then added a very simple filebrowser which simply looked for php files and then fed them through the doc generator. He had to hack it to use PHPLib templates and in parts it got a bit ugly, but it was a good exercise for him, and is still a useful tool for us. He left a while ago and I don't really want to touch that (ugly, ugly) code - especially if there is a better designed codebase around (which PEAR PHPDoc is). So I guess what I'm asking is something like this possible within the current framework? I'd like to write something like this and then try and integrate it into chora / horde as that's the other tool we use loads. Paul Don't forget you'll need to change a few variables for it to work on your system. -timmyg -- PEAR Development Mailing List (http://pear.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php -- -----------------------------------------------------------------
