Hey all,
There's quite a few steps in the PEPr process - draft, proposal, voting,
result
A lot of the time, people have it 50% right when they submit a draft. The
proposal comments give them feedback; and if the feedback is negative or
ambiguous in the eyes of the submitter... often a proposal is abandoned at
that point.
For instance: http://pear.php.net/pepr/index.php?filter=proposal
- many of
these have been around for some years; some don't really fit with PEAR; some
actually do but lost a maintainer.
I'd like to suggest that after a certain period; proposals shift into voting
mode automatically. At the very least; this lets the community swap from
feedback mode to decision mode; even if that decision is "thanks, but no
thanks".
Thoughts/votes?
The technical difficult shouldn't be that hard - 1x cron and a few lines of
API calls; and I should have the time to do this kind of thing in the near
future.
