Dear PEAR group,
the package Testing_DocTest is unmaintained.
David Jean Louis, the maintainer, wrote me: "I'm not active anymore on
PEAR, my job takes too much time (sigh)".
Is anybody interested in taking over the package?
I'm new to pear and have an enhancement patch for the parser class to
support short-hand notations:
<code>
echo 'Foo!'; /// Foo!
</code>
But now I don't know how to apply the patch to an unmaintained project.
One year ago I wrote a similar tool, but without all the extras. It's
only one class: http://www.nongnu.org/ubook/doc/default/DocTest.html
First I thought about proposing a new package, but the existing package
is designed very extensible, so that adding my test-syntax was very
easy. Now I would be glad, if my patch could be applied.
What do you think about it?
Regards,
maikel
