Hi.
I noticed there is a port of PEAR_Cache in PEAR2's github as PEAR2_Cache,
but the repo is currently empty, as it has been since its creation last
august.
I'd like to ask whoever is the maintainer what are the plans for this
package, as I'd potentially like to use as a dependency of my packages. I
say "potentially", as I'm interested in the "shared memory" part of it. I
wouldn't want to use PEAR_Cache though, because the current SHM
implementation is inefficient (nowadays, it could be implemented via
APC/WinCache, and perhaps with the old implementation as a fallback).
If there are no volunteers to rewrite the SHM to use APC, I'd like to do
that (but if there are already plans, don't let me hold you back :-D). If
there are other plans (like not including any SHM implementation for
example), I'd like to know, as I'm wondering whether to directly implement
something similar in my packages.
