Because I never tested it on 5.2 and don't have any 5.2 installations
here. Also, 5.2 is EOL'ed, so I see no point in supporting that.

PEAR1 packages never used an autoloader. PEAR2 changes that, but for
PEAR1, it will stay as it was.
