This could be an approach. The important thing is to make it possible
to make "search driver" packages. I'll certainly make one for AlltheWeb
(with a PHP-powered server). This Search API should not bind itself to
SOAP, SOAP is just another RPC mechanism, and it's too slow to be useful
in large volume anyway, _especially_ if you do sax-parsing in php with a
few hundred function callbacks for every search.
