Basically, I hate writing documentation :). I don't want to have to go through this multiple times. What should I be doing? Do it or die. ;-)PEAR isn't a one-man show, the comments are the starting point for other PEAR-Developers and Manual writers. So if you want a more helpfully contributer jump over your shadow and start documentating using phpdoc. You will get a big benefit in your daily work with PHP, if you now the power of it.
