From: dward@maidencreek.com Operating system: Solaris 2.7 PHP version: 4.2.1 PHP Bug Type: PEAR related Bug description: Makefiles assume bash The problem is actually in the CVS tree, but I cannot select that as the version for this bug. It seems that the Makefile assumes that the /bin/sh is really bash for install-pear-installer and install-pear-packages which use bash-specific methods (${descfile%.xml} and ${tmp#*-}) of modifying the variables instead of using sed or something else to do it. Also note that if the directory path has a - in it then the bash variable modification methods do not work correctly either. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=17259&edit=1 -- Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=17259&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=17259&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=17259&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=17259&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=17259&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=17259&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=17259&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=17259&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=17259&r=globals
