The designers really do not want to learn others stuffs than gfx, html, in this case, smarty or others "replacing" engine are useless. In this logic, IT does his job perfectly; I think there s a place for a "replacing" engine in PEAR. btw, if it's possible (must :) ) to do not reinvent the wheel and integrate a cache and use the pear::Cache as well as pear error handler ? pa
