Hi,
I'm now using PEAR and SQL Server... It's working fine...
I had a couple of problems because PEAR API didn't support multiple
connections to different databases. But Tomas V.V. Cox fixed that. Check the
latest CVS version of mssql.php
To connect to SQL Server I just do $dsn =
"mssql://$User:$Password@$Host/$DatabaseAdmin";
Are you sure that you are putting the complete path to your host?

Subject: [PEAR-DEV] Pear and SQLServer
Hi, this is Rafa from Barcelona, Spain.
I'm developing a project which runs on PHP + SQL Server, and I'm also using
PHP SiteManager (my company has just adapted it as common framework).
SiteManager uses PEAR as abstraction layer to access databases, and this is
the beginning of my troubles. I had tried previously PEAR against MySQL
tables, and it worked fine, but it seems that something doesn't work fine
with SQL Server.
I'm trying to establish connection with SQL Server and it's totally
impossible. The DSN I'm sending to PEAR is the following one :
<VAR name="DSN" value = "mssql://Lavinia:*******@RGIMENEZ/Santillana" />
Where am I going wrong ? Does the SQL Server connection need any special
parameter ? Has any of you used PEAR and SQL Server ? Before start checking
the PEAR code, I'd like to get some feedback from the rest of users.
Thank you in advance...
R.
