Are there any plans to move this to the new PEAR library?...I see a lot of places where this class could be used but is not. Anytime a PEAR class requires a system call, I believe that the CMD class should be called instead of creating a custom function for that class...the reason I say this is that this way, it is possible to control the way a command is executed on a more global scale. The first example I will give is the Image_Transform class, which must use the ImageMagick commandline tools until PECL imagick is more widespread...and to to it now there is no interface for which() or exec()...
