Just had a quick look at Image_Transform and it looks very helpful. I will most certainly use it for a project of mine and i'll try to write a ext/imagick container for it.Thanks! I started one a couple of months back, but so much has changed in the extension that it's useless now ;-)
To my question: How much sense does it make to integrate stuff which only is available in imagemagick, but not in gd (rotating or converting for example, but there are a bunch of other functions only imagemagick has, don't know about imlib and netpbm, though..).I think the features should be added, and emulated as far as possible in GD. NetPBM can do most things, but it involves piping the output between 5+ programs - a really strange way to work IMO, but as ImageMagick can't be used on my server due to memory limits on each process I'm determined to make the NetPBM extension work well :-) I haven't looked at imlib yet. By the end of the day I hope to have added the latest version to CVS, so watch out for that, as it changes paths etc to make it compatible with the PEAR installer (although there is no package.xml file yet)... and so far is untested, and looks like staying that way, as I have no web hosting with all the image libraries installed to allow me to run some tests :-) Peter -- Maple Design - quality web design and programming http://www.mapledesign.co.uk
