In the Net/SMTP.php module:
Line 138 and line 141 include passing the UID and Password in base64_encode
format. The problem is that the line is terminated with \n instead of \r\n. So
the SMTP server waits forever.
This is a big problem for AUTH.
Bug# 17631 just added.
