Hi,
I don't know if you followed the discussion on PHPDocumentor
on this list. As far as I understand it, PHPDocumentor will
certainly replace PHPDoc and will certainly be used to
generate the PEAR doc.
Personnaly, I'm still working on the PHPDoc project and I
found another one who seems to be interested.
As far as I'm concerned, what I want to have in PHPDoc are the
following features :
- a project manager so that you don't have to change the
PHPDoc config each time you have a new project
- a XSLT renderer cause I don't like template systems.
- ability to add personnal tags because it's sometimes really
useful. I had an intesting discussion with M@rms of the
PHPedit project on this feature.
- improve the XML output files beacause some are really bad
looking (and so constantly improve the template system so that
people can also use it if they donn't have the XSLT extension)
That's also clear that the parser must be greatly
improved. I'm not really experimented in developing parser or
analyser so if you think you can help us on that it could be a
great idea.
I think we cannot follow all the javadoc specifications cause
PHP is really different but that's sure that it could be great
if we follow this specs most of the time.
Currently the version I used is in French so I will translate
this in English quickly so that you can see what I already
implemented.
