the mkdir() commands in Archive/Tar fail (on Darwin, at least) if the filename
has a trailing slash. the attached diff is a suggested fix. i'm sure there's
probably a faster way to do the same thing, but this gets the idea across at least.
ps - i keep getting a "No newline at end of file" in the diff, don't know
why. sorry about that.
