Steps for new packages:
- Login to the pear web (**)
- Go to "New Package" and fill the form
- Be sure that in the package.xml file of your package, you are marked
with <role>lead</role>
Steps for uploading new releases:
- Edit package.xml and change the <date>, <version>, <notes> contents
under <release> to reflect the new package state
- Do a "pear package" inside your package directory to get a
Package-XX.tgz file
- Go to "Upload release" and submit the file you've just created
(**) If this step fails, you probably don't have a pear web account
(they are not synced with CVS account). Go the "Request Account", submit
the form and wait for the reply.
If you have some problems at some stage, please write to
pear-dev@lists.php.net.
