Someone told me that once the site is up, youll get a password and then you
can go to the packages. Didnt asked why i had to have a password to access
the PEAR 'open source' packages :).
But your point is way more valid than mine. I had pointed some friends to the
pear site and they asked me back "What is all that about"? . My vote is to put
the packages at the front page too (at least will save suport time).

PS.: If you search google for "PEAR packages php" you will get there
too, ewww!! :)
