I've recently discover from a post of Adam Maccabee that
php.ini-recommended removes the "E" from the variables_order setting,
making unavaible the $_ENV array (what I first though was an infamouse
bug). Just a warning for the PEAR developers to not use the $_ENV array,
use always getenv() instead.
