According to PostgreSQL 7.1 User's Guide, Section Date/Time Types,
date-typed values can be, among others:
infinity: Later than other valid times
-infinity: Earlier than other valid times
psql and other PostgreSQL front-ends represent these values as
'infinity' and '-infinity' respectively.
BTW, there is one more interseting SQL-related time value:
invalid: Invalid entry.
Any date-result operation with this value gives invalid result.
Any boolean-result operation returns FALSE
