pear2rpm?

Is there a pear2rpm program? My company deals pretty much with RPM packages only (we even write our own software just using RPM, including PHP scripts). If there is, could someone point me the way? If there isn't - I don't think it be much work to add an extension into the "pear" script to create the necessary SPEC file from the package.xml file so that it could be run through "rpm -ba SPECS/pear-package.SPEC". This would allow us to update our packages easier so that we don't have to update PEAR modules when we install a new PHP package (which tends to not have the latest releases of any PEAR modules).
