MDB: drivers needed

Hi, MDB NEEDS YOU. Those following the latest mails by me may have noticed that MDB is getting to a point where more drivers are needed in order to not stall future development. So I need people to help out and write drivers. Actually there is allready a foundation to build upon. Most of the MDB's features are implemented in the corresponding Metabase driver. Most of the other can be found in the corresponding PEAR DB driver. The process is not straightforward but quite manageable. I will provide assistance along the way of course. There is a section in the README.txt describing how to go about writing/porting a driver. Also talking to Paul Gregory Cooper (pgc@ucecom.com) should also help. He ported the PostGreSQL driver to MDB. The 3 active contributors are busy with other things ATM to we need other people to join the party. Paul is writing the new testing suite. Christian is helping out with the manager and MDB_frontend. I am working on the core and the manager. Since I do this for free I have to always keep an eye on my companies needs while developing this. Eventhough my company needs more databases to be supported in the long term, I have to focus on things like the manager in the short term. Now is the time.
